The second impeachment trial of former President Donald J. Trump begins on Tuesday, about a month after he was charged by the House with incitement of insurrection for his role in egging on a violent mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Granted, the verdict is as predictable as one on Perry Mason. Because, when it comes to performing according to script, Republicans voting as members of a cult are no different from actors performing as members of a cast.
Nonetheless, as it was with every trial of that hit show, this one will still be must-see TV.
And so, for the next week or so, I shall join the world and watch as this spectacle unfolds. And no, I see no point in counterprogramming with unrelated commentaries or podcasts. Nor do I see any point in dignifying this trial with any (further) comment.
Enjoy.
