It should come as no shock that a gay cabal pulls the strings in the Vatican. Only that explains why the Vatican indulges and covers up the sexual exploits of pedophile priests. After all, punishing the few pedophile priests risks outing the many gay ones.
For centuries, gay cabals have mocked every religious edict the Holy See issued. That mockery is inherent in the Church systematically doing more to protect pedophile priests than to help the children they prey upon. In this sense, gay cabals outing pedophile priests is like pimps snitching on prostitutes.
Pope confesses there’s a gay cabal
Yet many Catholics would rather denounce my criticism religiously than challenge their Church’s evident hypocrisy. That’s why having no less a person than the Pope affirm my criticism might shatter their faith.
Pope Francis is reported to have acknowledged the existence of a ‘gay lobby’ inside the Vatican. He also said there was a ‘stream of corruption,’ according to reports in Catholic media.
The Vatican would have to ‘see what we can do’ about the ‘gay lobby’ operating in the bureaucracy, he said. ‘It is true, it is there,’ the report quotes him as saying.
(BBC, June 12, 2013)
Yet I feel no vindication. After all, this gay cabal is so intrinsic that no Pope has any power to do anything about it. Indeed, some, like Benedict, have been complicit in their machinations.
Incidentally, I call it a cabal because it operates more like the mafia. That means this “lobby” poses all the dangers inherent in challenging the mafia’s insidious and ruthless power.
Struggle for the soul of the Catholic Church
Indeed, it would take an internecine struggle for Francis to exorcise the cancer (closeted) homosexuality represents in the Catholic Church. And that struggle would make the one raging between Muslim moderates and extremists seem quaint.
If Francis dared to reform this cesspool of sexual hypocrisy, the Church would deem him an even bigger heretic than Martin Luther.” And Luther was only attempting to reform the practice of papal indulgences. Yet the Church summarily excommunicated (i.e., executed) him.
Then again, the time might be ripe for another seminal split in the Catholic Church for the soul of the Church. Francis could lead high-brow traditionalists against this cabal of down-low progressives. But I digress.
The problem is that the Pope would have to excommunicate not one but hundreds of gay priests. After all, November 24, 2005 article in the New York Times estimated that sixty percent of Catholic priests are gay. And their Adamic nature (i.e., sexual orientation) would compel them to resist his reform/purge like cornered beasts fighting for survival.
Married, women, and openly gay priests
Hell, there would be a conclave to elect another pope before Francis makes any headway in this respect. That’s why Francis should shepherd reforms that permit priests to marry and allow both women and members of the LGBT+ community to serve. That would be the wiser and more Christian thing to do instead of purging gay priests.
As a 2010 Panorama exposé, “Good Nights Out for Gay Priests,” made abundantly clear:
The gay priest problem is about celibacy, church law, and hypocrisy. The pedophile problem is about child abuse, criminal behavior, and abuses of power.
Moreover, such reforms would free gay priests to out the pedophile ones. That is, without fear of implicating themselves in some medieval web of punishable moral turpitude.
Amen.
