Stories about teachers preying on students for sex used to dominate all media. You know, like the one that went viral just last week. Police arrested a teacher in Seattle for having sex with a 16-year-old student in his car and even in her home.
The phenomenon of teachers f*cking students is exploitative. That’s why I denounced those teachers in a podcast episode for behaving like pedophile priests.
Students fighting teachers
But that phenomenon poses little harm to the education of children. By contrast, the phenomenon of students fighting teachers poses incalculable harm.
A student threw this into foreboding relief a few days ago. That’s when he beat up a female teacher at a high school in Florida.
Except it’s not just the education of children at stake. This phenomenon portends the end of Western civilization.
After all, teaching was already a thankless and pay-less profession. And no teacher wants to assume the risk of getting battered. And only for daring to ask a student to stop playing Nintendo games during class – as alleged in this case.
What should the teacher do?
Whatever you do, don’t hit back. Issue an authoritative verbal reprimand, telling the student to sit down. If they do, wait until after class to report them to school authorities. If they don’t, try to get away without escalating and get help.
The student, in this case, is Black. The teacher is White. And that’s all any race-baiting politician needs to exploit it.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has already banned African-American studies in Florida (public) schools. He claims they are part of a woke agenda to indoctrinate White children. That is, to fill them with blame for every racial injustice in the world today.
Given that, this incident might cause him to ban African-Americans themselves. After all, White students can’t learn if Black students are beating up their teachers. Right?
This student is “behaviorally disabled.” DeSantis couldn’t care less. But, notably, this student was able enough to beat his teacher to a pulp.
Thank God the hospital has released the teacher. She’s expected to make a full recovery – even if a long and painful one. And, despite reports to the contrary, she insists she never even took away his Nintendo Switch. Whatever the case, he faces 30 years in prison for aggravated battery.
