Yes, Charles and Camilla are now laughing all the way to the throne. This, as they continue to outplay all the odds.

Buckingham Palace announced their engagement last month by pronouncing that Camilla SHALL NOT become Queen. She would be called Princess Consort instead. But that was just a ruse.

No doubt “The Firm” feared a royal backlash from Diana’s legions of terminally devoted fans. But it came clean late last night. The government announced that Camilla SHALL become Queen Consort when Charles becomes king. This of course was the wedding gift devoutly to be wished.

The palace has given the impression that the queen does not approve of the heir marrying that woman. Yet she’s promising to confer upon Camilla the title of queen (consort).

After all, this ensures that Camilla will defile her royal lineage – even more than it already is. And even I know they will drop “consort” when Charles becomes king.

But one very British word explains the intrigue afoot: snookered! The palace is playing the British people for fools. And it has been doing so ever since Charles married Princess Diana.

Charles is a brooding, narcissistic, self-indulgent Mummy’s boy. And, in Her Majesty’s eye, he can do no wrong. But his sense of entitlement knows no bounds. This is why the only way he’ll be denied his queen is if Camilla ends up like Diana.

Meanwhile, the palace is continuing this ruse. This has the queen making much ado about boycotting their wedding ceremony. After all, she’s still hosting their wedding reception.

Alas, Her Majesty herself is treating her loyal subjects like royal fools. Abolish the monarchy!
