Kanye is a ‘slave name’?
Not since Sean Combs, A.K.A. Puff Daddy, morphed into P Diddy has a name change spawned so much derision. However, this time, the mockery is laced with pity, even sadness.
Kanye West’s chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, demanded in a letter that the rapper be referred to as Ye and not his ‘slave name.’
‘Ye is one of the most recognizable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes,’ the letter obtained by Page Six read.

Trust me, Kanye got ninety-nine problems, but a “slave name” ain’t one. Not least because “Kanye” is an authentically African name that means “honor, tribute.” It has nothing to do with slavery.
Of course, this is the same Kanye who thinks Donald Trump is the second coming of Jesus Christ. But no name change will help him live down former President Barack Obama denouncing him as a “jackass.”
Like I said, derision!
Incidentally, his chief of staff is a notorious racist and antisemite. But that should come as no surprise. After all, Kanye himself is a racist and antisemite.
Not to mention the public show he made of embracing Donald J. Trump, a notorious racist and antisemite. Most notably, he had a well-publicized dinner at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort along with pal Nick Fuentes, another notorious racist and antisemite. Kanye’s been off his meds for years.
Kanye channeling P-Diddy
Of course, both Diddy and Kanye have suffered spectacular falls from grace:
Diddy, now an accused serial sexual predator facing bankrupting lawsuits and R Kelly-like imprisonment; Kanye, now a self-hating MAGA mascot and antisemite facing bankruptcy shunned by record label and fashion elites. And don’t be surprised in a few years when his muse, Bianca, channels Diddy’s, Cassie, by suing Kanye for physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
And so, the mere mention of them, by any other name, evokes a healthy dose of schadenfreude too. Both men are getting hoisted by their own petards. And that serves them right.
