Jerry Seinfeld regrets accusing the ‘extreme left’ of killing comedy. No, it’s not as dramatic as his Seinfeld castmate Michael Richards’ apology for his infamous racist rant. But Elon Musk and other hate-baiting trolls on his ex-Twitter hellscape, along with Trump’s MAGA propagandists on Fox News, were the only ones applauding Seinfeld. So he had to know he was on the wrong side of the polarizing “woke” debate.
In fact, Seinfeld came off like Bill Ackman, Edward Blum, and other Jews doing the dirty work for White supremacists. They’re the ones framing affirmative action, DEI, and other progressive policies as discrimination against White men.
Ultimately, I suspect Seinfeld realized he’d bitten the hand that fed him. After all, nobody would be watching ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ if Larry David started parroting MAGA talking points. And Musk will soon figure out that Tesla sales are plummeting because no self-respecting liberal wants to support his MAGA politics. Seinfeld probably saw that his liberal fanbase wasn’t buying as many tickets to his shows.
