Given the media’s 24/7 obsession with “BREAKING NEWS”, I was not at all surprised when egregiously inaccurate reporting added insult to the tragedy of mining families whose loved ones were trapped in that West Virginia coal mine this week. But if media hounds could not be bothered to check their facts on this story – with the entire world hanging on their every word – then just imagine….
