In typical fashion, President Trump mistakenly blamed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for cutting his cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. In typical fashion, he then projected onto Trudeau the upset over a serious public policy that would cause him (i.e., Trump) to make such a petty personal cut:
I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!

In fact, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation cut his cameo in 2014. It was unthinkable back then that Trump would be elected president of the United States.
The network, which bought the rights to the movie, just wanted to make room for commercials whenever it played on TV. That it chose to cut Trump’s cameo indicates what little most people thought of his public persona.
When someone finally pointed out his mistake, Trump appended (“just kidding”) to his tweet. But, as is so often the case with his juvenile, ignorant and mean-spirited tweets, he was the butt of his own joke.
