Chiefs and 49ers in Super Bowl
The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl Champions. And they showed why today as they dominated the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs will now defend their title against the San Francisco 49ers.
Kansas City will head to its second straight Super Bowl, the franchise’s fourth appearance in the NFL’s title game in the last five seasons, after prevailing over the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship.
The San Francisco 49ers dealt the Detroit Lions a crushing 34-31 loss in the NFC Championship game. The Lions jumped out to a 24-7 lead at the half, putting them in excellent position to make their first ever Super Bowl appearance. But the 49ers came storming back in the second half.

Indeed, the 49ers showed why they are favored to defeat the Chiefs. But don’t expect media coverage of their pre-game hype to reflect that.
It’s all about Taylor Swift
I wanted to see a Super Bowl matchup between the Ravens and Lions. And I picked the Lions to win it all. It turns out I couldn’t have been more wrong.
But media coverage is already such that you’d think Taylor Swift defeated the Ravens for a berth in the Super Bowl. And you can bet Taylor and her Swifties will dominate the pre-game hype so much that the coaches and players will seem like mere cheerleaders. After all, what could be more entertaining than Taylor preparing to cheer on her tight end, Travis Kelce?
So forget the Super Bowl! This will be the Taylor Bowl. The NFL might as well cancel Usher and let her provide the halftime entertainment, too.
Congratulations, Taylor!
But God help us real NFL fans…
