My fellow Bahamians:
Our handling of the Cuban detainees has already diminished our integrity and undermined our credibility in the international arena.
Therefore, please prevail upon our government to reverse its ban of the showing of Brokeback Mountain in our country. Because such a ban only makes a laughing stock of our maturity as a people and gives the world the impression that we’re living in a Taliban paradise.
Please, act now!

This is really crazy. Do these people have any clue how much tourism dollars gay Americans and the people who respect their equal rights contribute to their economy. What if gays decide to boycott the Bahamas?

Ubelievable!
Dave Miller says
I’m not surprised by this because homophobia is rampant in the Caribbean. But if they want to keep all gay influences out of their country, celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell should lead boycotts of their tourist economies then we’ll see just how they feel about gays.

Homophobia is scare word, If you don’t like someone’s opinion, start using words like homophobia to scare them quiet. It used to be people could safely have an opposing opinion but GLAAD has put an end to that. Free speech is dead.
PS: I don’t know anyone who is afraid of gays (phobia) more accurately they feel sorry for them because they will never know the joy of having a family and chlidren.
