And team Clinton wonders why Hillary is so unlikable…

At one point in last night’s New Hampshire presidential debate, the moderator asked Hillary Clinton how she felt about a poll which showed that voters find Barack Obama far more likable than she. To which Hillary responded by affecting a demure and vulnerable countenance (that, frankly, I did not think she was capable of) and said – not very convincingly that:

Well, that hurts my feelings…

But for months now, Bill and Hillary Clinton have been playing their patently disingenuous damsel-in-distress card for all it’s worth – complaining repeatedly about all of the men ganging up on her. Yet no one has perpetrated more vicious campaign attacks than team Clinton has done against Obama.

That’s why it was so gratifying to see John Edwards rebuff Hillary so indignantly last night when she tried to get him to tag-team with her in attacking Obama:

I didn’t hear these kinds of attacks from Senator Clinton when she was ahead. [Bill and Hillary represent] the forces for status quo. Barack believes deeply in change, and I believe deeply in change. Anytime you speak out for change, this is what happens. The forces for status quo are going to attack – every single time.

Ouch! I guess Edwards finds Obama far more likable than Hillary too….

New Hampshire debate
