Washington, DC is infested with little pricks wielding power like rats staking out their territory in the filthy crevices of a Taco Bell. But I relish the schadenfreude I experience whenever one of them gets his gonads caught in the vice grip of career-ending scandal.
Therefore, I’m simply giddy with glee that thousands of politicians and powerbrokers who routinely retained the services of Pamela Martin and Associates (PM&A), “a high-end adult fantasy firm which offered…sexual and erotic services across the spectrum of sexual behavior”, could suffer premature comeuppance. Because Deborah Palfrey (a.k.a. Madame Jeane), the proprietress of PM&A, is threatening to sell “the entire 46 pounds of detailed and itemized phone records” from 13 years of business transactions to settle IRS tax liabilities, which, if she fails to pay, could land her in jail.
According to the Smoking Gun report on her arrest, Madame Jeane featured women “23 and older, with two or more years of college education who either work and/or go to school during the daytime”. And that at night she dispatched them to five-star hotels and private residences all over metropolitan DC to service her clients.
If you prosecute me, I can make life miserable for many VIPs…I can state with unequivocal certainty this situation will be a long and unpleasant one. [Madame Jeane to federal prosecutors upon her arrest]
But the good news is that even if she’s just making this threat to scare them into paying her tax bill (and for the destruction of those records), many of her “well-known” former clients must be sweating bullets trying to figure out how to explain (to their wives, colleagues and constituents) why their names might appear. Indeed, since this scandal broke, I suspect every lawyer I know has thought – even if in pathological denial – “Not me thank God, but I must know at least one of the 10,000 men on record at PM&A….”
Meanwhile, perhaps to demonstrate she means business, Madame Jeane has already released a few names, including that of the evidently unreformed former President Clinton adviser Dick Morris, to tease tabloids like the Enquirer. After all, they would surely pay millions for her professional black book and all of the titillating details she could provide about the kinky sexual fantasies her girls fulfilled for so many self-important dicks.
NOTE: No one can deny that the sight of black lawyers wearing white wigs in The Bahamas as part of their professional garb is a spectacle to behold. Therefore, click here to read my CNN article on why this silly British custom should be abolished forthwith.
