Just when we thought the political environment was safe from Al Gore’s hot air about global warming, he has returned like Montezuma’s revenge complete with even more noxious fulminations – now memorialized on celluloid.
That’s right kids, Gore has one-upped his perennial nemeses, Bill & Hillary Clinton, by getting his Hollywood friends to make a full-length movie entitled An Inconvenient Truth about his fight to save mankind (for the world to see NOW in theatres everywhere); instead of turning out one of those self-indulgent promos about their Good-Samaritan politics that the Clintons usually have their Hollywood friends produce (for die-hard supporters to see at fundraisers and nominating conventions).
Actually, I respect Gore’s apparent need to sound political alarms about the earth being submerged by melting glaciers at some point in the next millennia; although, given the record-cold temperatures and unprecedented snowstorms that swept Asia last winter, chances are that we’ll experience another Ice Age before his prophecies are fulfilled.

Gore is right to try an highlight the issues of Global Warming as the environment is a key issue and will be for the next few generations.
Unfortunately he is reported to have told one of two lies in the film which discredit the work he has done.
He also remember that it was the exodous of green voters from the democrats to Nader in 2000 which cost him many votes accross the country.

gore has told so many lies that he can’t keep them straight anymore. i’ll never forgive him for going on about how he became anti-tobacco after his sister died of lung cancer only to find out that he and his family were still involved in the business.

ALH, everytime you go here, it makes me a little uneasy. I don’t see how William Blase’s article (that you linked to) somehow should make us believe that accelarated global warming as a result of human activity is not occurring. EVEN BUSH IS NOW SAYING IT IS! Please remember that record cold temperatures, as well as AVERAGE ANNUAL TEMPERATURE INCREASES, are all part of global climate change.
