Here in part is what I predicted over two years ago in “Jeffrey Epstein Killed Himself! This, Despite Prevailing Suspicions of Foul Play,” August 15, 2019:
________
Jeffrey Epstein was arguably the most notorious sex-trafficker and serial rapist in US history. His victims were too numerous to count and invariably too young.
Even worse, he pimped many of them out to his rich and powerful friends. This might explain the mysterious way he amassed an estate valued at over $500 million. Because I suspect many of those friends fell prey to honey-trap blackmail. …
But, if you think ongoing investigations will result in any of these men going to jail, you probably think Republicans are going to lead congressional efforts to impeach Trump. Nonetheless, if there were ever a case for guilt by association, this would be it. No doubt this is why Clinton, Dershowitz, Allen & Co. are so keen to plead their innocence – not in any court of law, mind you. No, they are only interested in doing this in the court of public opinion.
It’s far more likely that the men of Trump’s Justice Department, notably AG Barr himself, will emulate Acosta. Specifically, they will conspire with these connected men to ensure that Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine, and other (female) facilitators take the fall; you know, just like women do whenever anyone is prosecuted for prostitution.
_________
Sure enough, reports are that no man has even come under (criminal) investigation. On the other hand:
A jury in a New York federal court has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty on five of six counts related to her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of minor girls between 1994 and 2004. Maxwell, 60, was found guilty of five federal charges: sex trafficking of a minor, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and three related counts of conspiracy. …
Maxwell, who now faces up to 65 years in prison, showed no reaction when the verdicts were read. Judge Alison Nathan did not set a sentencing date.
(CNN, December 29, 2021)
Enough said?
Except I feel constrained to comment on the much ado commentators made about her “stoic” reaction to the verdicts. Because they failed to appreciate that she’s a consummate drama queen.
In short, she knew all eyes were on her, especially those of the courtroom artist she spent much of her trial flirting with. But, trust me, she was doing her best to channel great martyrs like Anne Boleyn for posterity. And, by all accounts, it was a bravura performance.
Meanwhile, after seeing Maxwell led off back to prison, her lawyer rushed to TV cameras outside the courtroom to assure the public that an appeal was already in the works, which she assured would prove successful. But frankly, the only thing that would explain even filing such an appeal is Maxwell deciding that the reported $7 million she spent on her trial was not wasteful enough…
I’d also be remiss not to note this related development ensnaring Prince Andrew, courtesy of the January 1, 2022 edition of the London Guardian:
________
Two of Prince Andrew’s efforts to prevent or stall the progression of Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s sex assault lawsuit against him were blocked on Saturday when a US federal judge ordered the prince’s lawyers to turn over key legal documents, increasing pressure to settle claims before a crucial court hearing this week.
Judge Lewis A Kaplan, in a written order, told the prince’s lawyers they must turn over documents on the schedule that has been set in the lawsuit brought by Guiffre who claims she was abused – aged 17 – by the prince on multiple occasions in 2001 while she was being sexually abused by financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Kaplan also rejected arguments by the prince’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, on jurisdiction grounds after they argued last week that the lawsuit should be dismissed because Giuffre, a US citizen, no longer lives in the US. Brettler has called the lawsuit “baseless”.
________
Trust me, and I mean in my capacity as a lawyer this time, Andrew thinking he can win this sexual assault case in court is every bit as foolhardy as former President Trump thinking he could win the 2020 presidential election in court. Which is why I am stupefied that the queen has not prevailed upon him to stop being penny wise and pound foolish, and settle this case.
It’s been self-evident he has no defense ever since that car-crash BBC interview on November 16, 2019, during which he insisted that Guiffre must be lying because:
- she claims he was a sweaty mess when Ghislaine pimped her out to him but he’s incapable of sweating; and
- she claims the photo of them together that went viral is incriminating but it shows clear signs of being doctored.
Now the whole world knows why they say he’s the queen’s favorite, but not her brightest, child …
