They would support him even if he shot someone to death on 5th Avenue in broad daylight. But even he could not have imagined they’d turn out to be so stupid, they would
- Risk their own lives to attend his maskless rallies in the midst of this Covid pandemic;
- Refuse to take a Covid vaccine because, unless it’s named the Trump vaccine, they believe it would be fake; and
- React to his snake-oil lies about election fraud by helping him fleece them of nearly $250 billion to fight it.
Trump has no shame or conscience. Because, if he had an ounce of either, he would save these poor suckers from themselves by finally admitting that not just his claims of election fraud, but his whole presidency was just a branding PR stunt that got way out of hand.
But, in fairness to Trump, even the evangelical supporters – who compose his base – showed from day one that they would rather worship a two-legged golden calf than the almighty God. So it followed, as naturally as night follows day, that they would rather believe lies than the truth.
This is why nobody should be surprised that a dismaying number of them seem hell-bent on refusing to take Covid vaccines as an article of faith, thereby compounding their Trump-inspired refusal to wear masks.
Covid-19 vaccines could be available by the end of December.
Following the release of more data from its Covid-19 vaccine Phase 3 clinical trial, the drugmaker Pfizer said Wednesday that it expects to submit an application for what’s called emergency use authorization to the Food and Drug Administration ‘within days.’
Another drugmaker, Moderna, has also said it aims to submit an application in the coming weeks.

Alas, just as it was with masks, Trump has convinced his supporters that mandates to get vaccinated are violations of their constitutional rights. With all due respect to the very funny cartoon above, its circular reasoning fails to appreciate that these stupid MAGA heads would refuse to take that vaccine too.
