Ignore the political spin about Hillary righting her ship – complete with a shake-up of her campaign staff – for a (Giuliani-like) last stand in the “big state” primaries of Texas, Ohio (on March 4) and Pennsylvania (on April 22).[Obama extends primary sweep(stakes) up and down Potomac February 13, 2008]
When I offered this political advise on February 13, I had no idea that the man behind Hillary’s new campaign strategy was none other than Rudy Giuliani.
At any rate, here’s to hoping he does for her in Texas and Ohio what he did for himself in Florida….
Meanwhile, no doubt you’ve seen (or read) reports heralding Prince Harry’s transformation from an idle-minded drunk into a war hero.
In fact, all reports propagate the notion that Harry was risking his life on the frontlines of raging battles with Taliban fighters. But, judging from this photo, he might as well had been playing war games with his drinking buddies in the backyard of his granny’s country estate.
At any rate, as I was preparing to write a condemnation of the media’s willing suspension of skepticism and common sense in this respect, I came upon a column by Marina Hyde on what I call “The Harry Show: Survivor Afghanistan.”
And frankly, she preempted all of my cynical points about Harry’s image makeover. Moreover, she did it with such enviable wit, sarcasm, and indignation that I feel obliged to simply refer you to her column.
Harry, you’re not normal, you’re a prince. And this is war, not therapy. Enjoy!
